I am a photographer interested in abstracting the view through my lens. I often incorporate layering and intentional camera movement in my nature-based images. For this exhibition, I'm creating works through multiple-exposures of trees superimposed over one another. Inspired by Druantia, the Celtic Goddess of Trees. The black and white imagery strips away the surface to reveal something mysterious and altogether more visceral within our woodlands. The result evoke feelings of melancholy as I explore the emotions connected to habitat loss, environmental damage and climate change.
